RESOLVED:
1.            
That the report of the
Independent Remuneration Panel on Councillors’ Allowances (Annex A to the
report) be received and noted, and that the Panel be thanked for
its work.
2.            
That the current Scheme of
Councillors’ Allowance (2025/26)
be adopted from 1 April 2026 without indexation, until the 10 May
2026.
3.            
That the amended Scheme of
Councillors’ Allowances (Annex B
of the report), based on the report of the Independent Remuneration
Panel on Councillors’ Allowances,
be agreed to take effect from 11 May 2026.
4.            
That authority be delegated to the Director of Law and Governance
to make minor typographical and consequential amendments to the
Scheme of Councillors’
Allowances.
5.            
That the Independent
Remuneration Panel report on allowances for members of Parish and
Town Councils (Annex C of the report) be noted.
