Purpose

To consider approving the subsidy created by allocating Department for Transport bus funding in line with the grant requirements.

Decision

1. That £400,000 be provided as subsidy to operators based on market share to support the existing network.
2. That up to £350,000 be provided to operators to offset the revenue risk of upgraded or recently introduced services and upcoming proposals for network improvement.
3. That authority be delegated to the Director of Environment and Property, in consultation with the Cabinet member for Highways and Transport, to agree the funding for the additional two years under three-year plan.
