Purpose

To consider the adoption of the Local
Authority Healthy Weight Declaration, and to receive an update on
the Health and Care Partnership’s work to tackle
obesity.

Content

1.1 That the Local Authority Healthy Weight
Declaration, which commits the Council to consider actions to
tackle obesity across five domains (strategic leadership;
commercial determinants; environment and infrastructure;
organisational change; monitoring and evaluation), be adopted at
Milton Keynes City Council.
1.2 That authority be delegated to the
Director of Public Health to develop a plan to implement the
Declaration.
