Purpose

To consider approving the discretionary rate
relief guidelines 2024/25 and confirm the list of Rural Settlements
for the purposes of Local Government Finance Act 1988.

Content

1.1 To agree and approve the Discretionary
Rate Relief Policy for Non Domestic Rates (Annex A) and
Discretionary Rate Relief Guidelines for 2024/25 (Annex B).
 1.2 To approve the
list of rural settlements, listed on page 14 of the Discretionary
Rate Relief Guidelines (Annex B), as required by S.42A Local
Government Finance Act 1988.
