Purpose

To consider approving the commencement of a procurement exercise for the Council’s Interpretation and Translation Service, via CCS framework.

Decision

1. That the commencement of a procurement exercise for the provision of Interpretation and Translation Services through a mini competition under a compliant Framework Agreement, be approved.
2. That in the event a Framework Agreement no longer be considered the most appropriate procurement route, approval is also granted to undertake an open procurement procedure in accordance with the relevant procurement legislation and the Council's Contract Procedure Rules.
3. That the expenditure of up to £0.705m over the maximum five-year contract term (3+2 years) for the provision of Interpretation and Translation Services, be approved.
4. That authority be delegated to the Director of Adult Services, in consultation with the Cabinet member for Adult Services, Health and Communities, to award the contract and any approval for contract extensions.
