Purpose

To consider varying the current block contract
for older people’s care homes.

Content

1.         That the
public and press be excluded from the meeting by virtue of
Paragraph 3 (Information relating to the Financial or Business
Affairs of the Authority) of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local
Government Act 1972, in order that the meeting may consider the
exempt Annex to the report.

2.         That the
variation to the existing contract
between the Council and Excelcare Holdings Plc to increase
the overall budget for the
remaining contract term, as detailed in the exempt Annex, be approved.

3.         That the
contract variation allows for the contractual indexation formula to
be updated, as shown in the exempt Annex.

4.         That the
budget allocation to cover the in-year increase for 2024/25, as
detailed in the exempt Annex, be approved.
