Purpose

To consider the Council Tax Base for
2025/26.

RESOLVED
–
1.            
That the
2025/26 Council Tax Base be set at 99,634.75 Band D equivalent
properties.
2.            
That the
provision for uncollectable amounts of Council Tax for 2025/26 be
set at 0.80% producing an expected collection rate of
99.20%. 
3.            
That the
proposed 2025/26 funding contribution to parish and town councils
of £0.200m, as set out in Annex D, be noted, and recommended
to Council for approval as part of the final Budget in February
2025.
4.            
That the
Cabinet recommends to Council that the Local Council Tax Reduction
Scheme, as adopted by the Council on 21 February 2024, be continued
for 2025/26 and any amendments to the Scheme that reflect changes
to related benefits and to Council Tax Reduction Schemes prescribed
by regulations are delegated to the Director of Finance and
Resources to make these technical legislative changes as
required.
