To consider approving changes to parking
tariffs and permits for implementation in early 2025.
Content
That the
following changes to parking charge tariffs (the first in over a
decade) be implemented, in March 2025 or soon
after:
(a) the two-hour
minimum stay period in Standard Tariff parking be set at
£2.00 (currently £1.00), with the hourly rate thereafter unchanged at
50p per hour;
(b) the one-hour minimum
stay period in Premium Tariff parking be set at £2.50
(currently £2.00), with the hourly rate
thereafter unchanged at £2.00 per hour;
(c) the E1
Employee Permit daily charge be set £3.00 for a whole day
(currently £2.80);
(d) the E1 Employee
five-hour Employee Permit charge be set at £2.00 (currently
£1.40);
(e) the Car Share
Permit and Hotel Permit, be removed due to their limited use;
and
(f) a city
centre resident and employee yearly
pass in standard parking, be introduced at a rate of
£675.
