The Mid-Hampshire Future Unitary Joint Committee

The Mid-Hampshire Future Unitary Joint Committee is responsible for overseeing the initial stages of the reorganisation programme for the future unitary council in the Mid-Hampshire area. It comprises councillors from the current local councils within that region.

The committee's remit includes planning the transition process, agreeing on programme management methods, and monitoring the progress of the work to ensure preparations remain on schedule. This role will continue until May 2027, when responsibility transfers to the shadow council.
