Purpose

This report introduces minor updates to two
key safety policies for Housing (Landlord Services to reflect the
Hazards in Social Housing (Prescribed Requirements) (England)
Regulations 2025, coming into force on 27 October 2025 pertaining
to core statutory maintenance functions of the Council’s
social housing stock. The revised Policies are attached at Appendix
1 and 2.

Decision

On 22 October 2025, Cllr Steve Davies,
Portfolio Holder for Housing and Homelessness made the following
decision:

To adopt the revised policies presented which reflect minor
amendments to existing policies which have undergone previous
consultation and scrutiny for approval by the Portfolio Holder,
publishing formally within the Council and public documents made
available to housing tenants on the Council’s webpages.

Any member of the Council, who is not a Portfolio Holder, who
considers that this decision should be reviewed should give notice
using the call-in facility at the top of this page on the
Council’s intranet / extranet site. Alternatively, notice can
be given to the Monitoring Officer (Matt Wisdom) (in writing or by
e-mail) to be received ON OR BY 5.15 pm on 29 October 2025.
