Purpose
This report seeks approval of the Portfolio
Holder for Housing and Homelessness to purchase six homes with a
financial grant from the Local Authority Housing Fund (LAHF) and
NFDC capital funding.
Decision
On 4 February 2026, Cllr Steve Davies, the
Portfolio Holder for Housing and Homelessness:
That the Council enters an agreement with central Government to
purchase 6 homes under the Local Authority Housing Fund Round 4 for
Temporary Accommodation and Afghan family resettlement; and
That approval is given for the direct purchase of 6 homes as
supported by funding under the Local Authority Housing Fund Round 4
initiative and additional capital expenditure as required.
Any member of the Council, who is not a Portfolio Holder, who
considers that this decision should be reviewed should give notice
using the call-in facility at the top of this page on the
Council’s intranet / extranet site. Alternatively, notice can
be given to the Monitoring Officer (Matt Wisdom) (in writing or by
e-mail) to be received ON OR BY 5.15 pm on 11 February 2026.
