Purpose

This report seeks approval from the Strategic
Director of Housing
and Communities – in consultation with the Housing and
Homelessness Portfolio Holder - to revise the Council’s
Shared
Ownership Policy.

Decision

It is recommended that the shared ownership
policy be brought in line with
Homes England requirements that were introduced on 1st August 2024
through the introduction of named and appended policies regarding
selling homes on a first come first served basis and surplus
income.
