Performance Scrutiny Committee - People

The Performance Scrutiny Committee - People holds the Executive to account for its performance within the People Directorate, focusing on three key areas: performance, budget, and risk.

It monitors service plan outcomes, scrutinises improvements to poor performance, and assesses how performance aligns with council objectives and its management strategy. The committee also examines budget variances, savings plans, and budget proposals, considering their impact on services, users, and staffing. It reviews high-risk areas and the effectiveness of mitigation actions.

This is an advisory committee that reports its work programme and findings to the Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee and monitors the implementation of recommendations made to the Cabinet.
