About

The General Licensing Committee is responsible for a range of licensing matters for North East Derbyshire, excluding those specifically covered by the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005. This includes decisions regarding Private Hire and Hackney Carriage drivers, vehicles, and operators. The committee also recommends licensing policies to the Council, with the exception of those related to the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005. It can also make minor updates to the Council's Hackney Carriages and Private Hire Vehicles, Drivers and Operators Policy and other relevant licensing policies as needed.
