RESOLVED - That Cabinet agreed to adopt
the Housing Strategy for implementation.
 
REASONS FOR DECISION – The Housing
Strategy provides a strategic framework for meeting the districts
housing needs and sets out a clear plan of how this will be
implemented.
 
OTHER OPTIONS CONSIDERED AND REJECTED -
Not to have a Housing Strategy. This was rejected because without
such a document, opportunities may be missed resulting in the loss
of new homes including homes for our most vulnerable
residents.
 
Please note
that this was not a Key Decision and so can be implemented with
immediate effect by officers.
