In accordance with the Independent
Group’s wishes, to allocate Cllr Anthony Hutchinson to the
General Licensing Committee and Licensing and Gambling Acts
Committee in place of Cllr Mo Potts.

Reasons for the decision

The original DD dated 12th December 2022 set
out the appointments of the Members of each party to the
Council’s Committees. This was to implement the Political
Parties’ wishes under the Political Groups Rules following a
change in the numbers for some Political Groups.
In addition the DD appointed Cllrs P Parkin and Cllr Mo Potts as
substitutes for the Members of the Independents Group who sit on
Planning Committee.
This DD is attached.
The Independents Group had proposed Cllr Anthony Hutchinson for
membership of the General Licensing and Licensing and Gambling Acts
Committees. Unfortunately Cllr Mo Potts was incorrectly shown on
the DD as the proposed Member. This DD corrects the position. There
are no further scheduled meetings of the Committees for the
remainder of the Municipal Year, but sub-committee meetings may be
required.

None. Council directed that this be
done.
