To make a Temporary Road Closure Order under
Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847. The direct roads to
be closed are; part of Hilltop Road, part of Gosforth Lane, Barlow
Lees Lane, part of Brindwoodgate, part of Crow Hole, part of Valley
Road, Far Lane, Unthank Lane, Fox Lane, Dobbin Lane, and part of
Cowley Lane on Sunday 10th September 2023 from 9:30am to 1pm on a
rolling/ managed basis.

Reasons for the decision

To enable The Big Dipper Half Marathon to take
place safely

Alternative options considered

There are no other options available for this
event and it will not go ahead without the Temporary Road Closure
being in place
