To pay an honorarium to the Assistant
Community Safety Officer to reflect the work being undertaken in
line with the duties of the Anti-social Behaviour Officer role for
a fixed term 3-year period and then review. A salary increase from
grade 6 to grade 8 (£26,854.09 to £29,438.93) This will
be funded from the existing community safety grant
funding.

Reasons for the decision

Exempt under paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Schedule
12A Local Government Act 1972.

Alternative options considered

Other options for the structure have been
explored but these options are the most effective and will enable
the Community Safety Team to improve the service it provides at a
cost which is affordable.
