To vary the increase in cost from original
agreement with Alliance Leisure LTD to ensure effective delivery of
Killamarsh Skate Park refurbishment.

Reasons for the decision

To appoint the contractor as named above to
refurbish the Killamarsh skate park using funding from
£95,000 Cleaner, Safer and Greener fund and £55,000
UKSPF.

The Agreement has been reviewed by the legal team and is acceptable
However, due to a change in the design the cost associated with the
project has increased from £137,441 to £166,281.

The Director of Finance & Resources (S151 Officer) has already
approved to fund the shortfall of £28,840 from a mixture of
Streetscene revenue accounts and capital reserves.

The appointment of Alliance Leisure will see the project delivered
within the timescales attached to the Cleaner, Safer, Greener
funding restrictions at the end of July 2023.

Due to limited resource implications within the existing
Streetscene team, it would be prudent to appoint to ensure
effective project management and delivery.
