- Agree the Regional Housing Needs Assessment (Appendix 1) for publication on the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority website;
- Note the wider housing funding landscape and the partnership working arrangements as set out in sections 2 and 4 of this report;
- Agree and approve the Mayor’s Plan for Homes (Appendix 2) for stakeholder engagement;
- Approve the Housing Delivery Fund Framework (as set out in section 4 of this report) for the allocation and management of the devolved £143million National Housing Delivery Fund, and delegate authority to the Chief Executive of the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority, in consultation with the Mayor, the Proud to Call Home Portfolio Holder and the Finance and Investment Board, to approve the Programme Business Case and associated funding awards, subject to the completion of appropriate due diligence, assurance, subsidy control and value-for-money assessments.
- Delegate authority to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Mayor, Proud to Call Home Portfolio Holder and Director of Finance and Investment, to develop and implement a regional homelessness prevention programme and ensure timely allocation of the £5.3million grant to support delivery.
