Purpose
To approve that the Authority enter a Grant
Agreement with Homes England and the North East Combined Authority
to accept £150,000 grant funding to support a more
streamlined and cost-effective approach to delivering Compulsory
Purchase Orders (CPO) in North Tyneside.
The decisions required include:
It is recommended that the Director of Resources following
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing and the Head of
Law agrees:
1. To receive Grant Funding from Homes England totaling
£20,000 and the North East Combined Authority totaling
£130,000;
2. Subject to the Head of Law being fully satisfied with the terms
of the Grant Funding Agreement appended to this report, to the
Authority entering into that Agreement with Homes England in order
to receive the £20,000 Grant Funding from Homes England;
and
3. Subject to the to the Head of Law being fully satisfied with the
terms of the Grant Funding Agreement that the Authority will
receive from the North East Combined Authority, to the Authority
entering into that Agreement with the North East Combined Authority
in order to receive the £130,000 Grant Funding from the North
East Combined Authority.
4. To include the acceptance of this Grant Funding in the next
Performance and Financial Management Report presented to
Cabinet.
