The General Licensing and Registration Sub-Committee is responsible for deciding on licensing and registration applications that cannot be handled by council officers. This includes applications related to hackney carriage and private hire vehicle licences, as well as those concerning sex establishments. The sub-committee's decisions are made by three members selected from the General Licensing and Registration Committee, which sets the overall licensing policy for these areas.
