About

The North Yorkshire Health and Wellbeing Board is a statutory body established under the Health and Social Care Act 2012. Its primary role is to encourage better integration and improvement of health and social care services across North Yorkshire.

The board promotes joined-up commissioning plans between the NHS, social care, and public health services, and supports joint commissioning and pooled budgets. It is responsible for assessing the health and wellbeing needs of the local population and leading the development of the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and the Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
