Purpose

The decision is required to undertake the
procurement for a contract for Asbestos Testing, Removal and Air
Monitoring in the Council’s social housing across North
Yorkshire.

The current Contract ends 31.10.2024, a direct award has been
identified for a fully managed service to enable the Authority to
meet its operational, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Decision

The current contract expires on 31st October
2024 and to ensure we remain compliant and adhere to the
requirements of the regulator, legal and legislation. We have
identified a provider and would like to direct award to Tersus
Consultancy Ltd through the Consortium Procurement Framework. Lot 4
fully managed service for Asbestos Testing and Removal and Air
Monitoring.

This direct award will cover all three former localities: Richmond,
Harrogate, and Selby.

The term of the contract is 3 years with an option to renew for a
further 2 + 2 years.

Performance throughout the contract will be monitored by the
Housing Standards Team.
