submission to the Department for Transport (DfT).

Reasons for the decision

Officers have produced a draft response to the
DfT’s consultation, any further comments and views are now
being sought from the Corporate Director and Executive Member,
along with approval to submit the response.

Alternative options considered

Not reviewing and agreeing to the response
submission is rejected because it would prevent the council’s
opinions from being taken into account as part of national policy
development.
