Purpose

NYC has been offered Social Housing
Decarbonisation Fund grant of £1,772,000. This provides
financial support of up to 50% for housing retrofit measures to
Council owned stock. To accept the grant, the Grant Offer Letter
and associated documents must be signed and returned by 9th April
2024.

Decision

The Executive Member for Culture, Arts and
Housing authorises the acceptance of the Social Housing
Decarbonisation Fund grant offer of £1,772,000 and approval
of North Yorkshire Council co-funding of
£2,045,107.30

Reasons for the decision

To enable acceptance of the SHDF grant to
support social housing decarbonisation.

Alternative options considered

Not to accept: This was rejected as the bid
provides additional external funding to support the social housing
decarbonisation programme.
