Decision

To extend the existing Business Travel
contract with TravelPerk UK IRL Ltd (formerly known as Click Travel
Ltd) for a period of twelve months from 22 February 2024 to 21
February 2025. This twelve-month extension is permitted under the
current contract.

Reasons for the decision

It is considered a proportionate approach to
extend the contract as there is an available extension permitted
under the contract which is being utilised and the Council is
satisfied with the current performance of the Supplier. The
contract continues to offer best value when compared to alternative
options.

Alternative options considered

The alternative option to undertake a new
procurement exercise was rejected as there is an available
extension under the current contract and the Council is satisfied
with the current performance of the Supplier. A new procurement
exercise would incur additional resources and have an impact upon
timescales.
