Purpose

To seek approval for schemes to be added to
the 2024/25 Highways Capital Annual Programme due to the additional
funding recently announced by the Department for Transport (DfT)
and approve the addition of further schemes to be added to the
Highways Capital Forward Programme

Decision

Authorisation of additional schemes:

• to the Highways Capital Forward Programme (HCFP) for
Structural Highway Maintenance identified since the last Highways
Capital Programme report dated 25 August 2023 as detailed in
Appendix A at a combined value of £916k;

• to the 2023/24 and 2024/25 Highways Capital Annual
Programme, as detailed in Appendix B, due to the recent
announcement of extra funding for highway maintenance of
£9.408M

Reasons for the decision

To allow design and development work to
commence on the schemes added into the Highways Capital forward
programme (HCFP) and for schemes to be delivered in the financial
year 2024/25
