Purpose

To seek a decision for approval to accept of
an offer of grant funding (for up to £325,000) from the
Department for Education (DfE) under their newly announced Sector
Led Improvement Partner (SLIP) Programme for 2024/2025.
Decision required to confirm if NYC can accept this grant funding,
under the Council’s Grant Funding Application Process.

Decision

To Accept an offer of grant funding from the
Department for Education’s ‘Sector Led Improvement
Partner (SLIP)’ Programme up to a sum of
£325,000.

Reasons for the decision

Financially, participation has enabled NYC to
use any variance in funding to secure additional resource capacity
and training, to support internal improvements, and this would be
expected to continue if able to participate through 2024-25.
