Decision

To accept the recommendation by Councillor Janet Jefferson to award £500 of her Locality Budgets funding to fund the installation of a flagpole in Alma Square Scarborough for the Royal Yorkshire Regiment - Scarborough Branch.

Cllr Jefferson is the North Yorkshire Division Councillor where Alma Square is situated and has supported the annual Ceremonial events held in the Square for over 40 years and has also helped and supported the Royal Yorkshire Regiment in their desire to purchase and install a flagpole in Alma Square.

Reasons for the decision

The funding will support this specific project recommended by Councillor Jefferson which directly promotes the social, economic, or environmental wellbeing of the communities within the Division she represents.
