Purpose

To agree the indicative headline highways
maintenance capital allocations for the financial year 2025/26
based on current funding assumptions.
Grant approval to carry out the relevant procurement
processes.
This allows a draft 2024/25 programme to be developed for approval
in Summer 2025

Decision

Authorisation for the
•addition of schemes to the Highways Capital Forward Programme
for Structural Highway Maintenance identified since the last
Highways Capital Programme report dated 25 August 2023 at a
combined total of £497,533 (Appendix A);
•indicative headline structural highways maintenance capital
allocations for 2025/26 based on current planning assumptions is
agreed (Appendix B); and
•approved grant to carry out the relevant procurement
processes for schemes to be delivered in 2025/26.

Reasons for the decision

To enable Council officers, working alongside
NYH and partner organisations to develop the 2025/26 annual
programme and for relevant procurement activities to take place for
the delivery of the 25/26 annual capital programme.
