To submit North Yorkshire Council’s
agreed formal response to the consultation on the draft Yorkshire
Dales National Park Management Plan 2025-2030 that closes on 10
March 2025.

Reasons for the decision

The National Park Management Plan is an
important policy document that impacts on the policy and actions of
a wide range of stakeholders in Yorkshire Dales National Park
including North Yorkshire Council. The Council is now subject to an
enhanced duty in terms of ensuring support for implantation of the
Management Plan objectives,

Alternative options considered

Given the content and relevance of the matters
covered by this consultation that will impact a large area of the
county, it was agreed that NYC should make a formal
response.
