New Leisure Management System
June 27, 2025 Assistant Director - Technology (Officer) Key decision Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
The purpose of the report is to seek approval
for the procurement of a new ‘fit for purpose’ Leisure
Management System for the Sports and Active Wellbeing Service
(Active North Yorkshire), for 3 years, with two optional 2-year
extensions (therefore a possibly 7 year contract), through an open
tender process.
Decision
Approval to procure a new Leisure Management
System.
Reasons for the decision
To support the transition to the Sports and
Active Wellbeing Services target operating model, a new system will
unify services, streamline processes and enhance team
collaboration.
Alternative options considered
As part of the solution assessment, the option
to reuse existing systems was evaluated but discounted, as
acquiring a new solution through a competitive procurement process
offers greater overall benefits. A more competitive price can be
achieved with a longer contract term and more favourable terms and
conditions.
