Decision

To allow a Discretionary Top Up Grant of
£5,012.80 to provide a ground floor bedroom extension which
can contain the specialist sensory equipment required for the
disabled child.

Total value of the adaptations will be under £50K with the
mandatory, discretionary and Registered Social Landlord funding in
place.

Reasons for the decision

Further to a Consultation carried out with the
Disabled Adaptations Advisory Group it was agreed that the most
cost effective and practical solution to meet the needs of the
applicant was to provide a ground floor bedroom enabling the
parents to continue to safely care for the
child at home.
