Decision

To allow a Discretionary Top Up Grant of
£49,624.44 to provide a ground floor bedroom/bathroom
extension including specialist bath for the disabled client. Total
value of the adaptations will be over £50K with the
mandatory, discretionary and Registered Social
Landlord funding.

Reasons for the decision

Further to a Consultation carried out with the
Disabled Adaptations Advisory Group it was agreed that the most
cost effective and practical solution to meet the needs of the
applicant was to provide a ground floor bedroom/ bathroom extension
with specialist bath enabling the
parents to continue to safely care for their child at
home.
