Purpose

To seek approval for the Council’s
response to the DEFRA Consultation on “Reforming our approach
to floods funding: Including a call for evidence on: alternative
sources of funding; and English devolution and flood risk
management”

Decision

The North Yorkshire Council’s (NYC)
response to the Reforming our approach to floods funding: Including
a call for evidence on alternative sources of funding; and English
devolution and flood risk management contained in Appendix B of the
report is approved.

Reasons for the decision

North Yorkshire Councils stands to benefit
from the proposed reforms. Its response is essential to demonstrate
to DEFRA support for its proposals.
