Purpose

The purpose of this report it to seek approval
from the Assistant Director of Culture and Leisure to reprocure
North Yorkshire Council’s Medical Event Provision. The
current framework agreement is due to expire on 31st March
2026.

Decision

To proceed with a competitive tendering
process to establish a framework for medical provision at
council-owned venues and events.

Reasons for the decision

The current framework agreement is due to
expire on 31 March 2026; a procurement is required to identify a
provider from 1 April 2026 onwards.

The council already procures medical provision for events, the aim
of this procurement is to bring all the council’s venues,
attractions and amenities into line calling off from the same
framework.

Alternative options considered

Providing the service internally - this is not
an option due to the complex nature of the service
requirements.
