Decision

To accept a grant from the York and North
Yorkshire Combined Authority (YNYCA) to install solar panels on up
to four leisure sites, subject to acceptable terms and conditions
being received, totalling up to £385,886.

Reasons for the decision

To accept funding from the Mayoral Renewables
Fund aligns with the Council’s Climate Change Strategy and
provides a cost saving to the council by reducing energy bills due
to on site electricity generation. The payback time to NYC from
this investment is approximately 2.5-3 years.
