Decision
The Executive Member for Education &
Skills has:
Noted the action that is proposed by the Federated Governing Board
of The Federation of Follifoot and Spofforth CE Primary Schools to
achieve compliance with the regulations;
And
Given approval to consult on the following proposals received from
the Federated Governing Boards from the following federations:

BAWB (Bainbridge, Askrigg and West Burton) Federation
Reeth and Gunnerside Schools Federation:
The Federation of Middleham (VA) & Spennithorne (VC) CE Primary
Schools:
The Synergy Federation
And
To approve discretionary arrangements for home to school travel
which form part of the proposals received
Reasons for the decision
To enable consultation to be undertaken about
proposals for revised school organisation arrangements proposed by
the federated governing boards and which, if subsequently approved,
enable them to implement school organisations arrangements that are
compliant with the regulations relating to school admissions and
registration.
Alternative options considered
A detailed appraisal of alternatives to the
each of the alternatives that have been proposed by each federated
governing boards is provided within this report.
Having undertaken the detailed option appraisal outlined in Section
4 of the report the Governing Boards informed parents and the local
community about their proposals for the future organisational
arrangements of each school.
