The updated Parish Charter developed by North
Yorkshire Council in partnership with the parish sector is
agreed
Once confirmed, updated wording for Forewords will be added to
finalise the document
Once finalised, the updated Parish Charter will be circulated to
all North Yorkshire Council Members, senior officers including
Heads of Service and all Parish Sector Organisations

Reasons for the decision

North Yorkshire Council committed to review
the Parish Charter in collaboration with representatives from the
Parish Sector, this updated version reflects the outcome of that
review.

Alternative options considered

None. The original Charter agreed in 2023 gave
a commitment to review the Charter and this updated version fulfils
that commitment.
