Decision
Agreed for the NEC4 contract between North
Yorkshire Council and Watertight Ltd under the Environment Agency
(EA) Property Flood Resilience (PFR) Framework to install PFR
measures at a cost of £240,000 to 32 properties in Bellerby
(Upper Dales Flood Alleviation Scheme).
Reasons for the decision
The EA 2024 PFR Framework was procured in
November 2024 for a value of £5m, the NEC4 contract falls
under this framework. This scheme will improve living conditions
for those flooding has previously and continues to affect.

Alternative options considered
We are not aware of any other framework that
complies with the CIRIA Code of Practice nor offers Property Flood
Resilience to ensure what we deliver to the residents of North
Yorkshire is secure, meets the needs of the resident and provides
piece of mind any failing following installation will be rectified
within a timely manner.
