Maintenance General Building Responsive Maintenance for North
Yorkshire Council to:
• NY Highways Ltd (NYH)

Reasons for the decision

The current Compliance and Maintenance
Responsive Maintenance contracts established by the former County
Council are due to expire on the 31st January 2026.

A decision has been made to award the Responsive Maintenance
contract to NY Highways Ltd. NY Highways Ltd (NYH) is North
Yorkshire Council’s Teckal exemption company for the delivery
of Highway Maintenance across North Yorkshire, with property
compliance and maintenance added to the portfolio of works already
carried out by NYH, as well as larger corporate or other capital
schemes.

The decision has been made following a review of options. This is a
key decision, with the contract located and published on the
Procurement Pipeline.
