Acceptance of the supplementary grant funding
from the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority Mayoral
Renewables Fund programme for delivery of PV installations on an
additional NYC owned building.

Reasons for the decision

It enables North Yorkshire Council to secure
funding in supporting operational decarbonisation, contributing to
the operational net zero target; it will fund 100% of the costs of
installing solar and Solar PV requires little maintenance and
provides a financial payback to the Council, delivering both cash
and carbon savings.

Alternative options considered

The alternative option is to do nothing. This
would negatively impact the operational net zero target set by
North Yorkshire Council, and not result in the cost savings
provided by the solar panels.
