Decision

To award contracts for Fixed Electrical
Inspections and High Voltage Testing for North Yorkshire Council,
via the establishment of a multi supplier Electrical Safety
Framework covering Corporate Property and Housing Stock
requirements, following the completion of a procurement
exercise.
The framework comprises of 3 Lots, 1 for Property and 2 for Housing
awarding 2 suppliers to each Lot working on a ranking system, with
contracts awarded to the contractor below:
Lot 1 - Property
1st Ranked - BES Group Electrical Ltd
2nd Ranked - Dodd Group (Midlands) Limited
Lot 2 - Housing
1st Ranked - Goom Electrical Limited
2nd Ranked - John Cullerton

Reasons for the decision

A decision was made to undertake a procurement
exercise to establish a new contract for the delivery of Fixed
Electrical Inspections and High Voltage Testing, as the contracts
established by the former County Council for this are due to expire
on the 31st January 2026. The new contract includes provision to
provide all relevant servicing and maintenance for additional
Council properties as other contract arrangements expire, as well
as provision for Property’s Traded Service Property Solutions
clients.
The procurement was located and published on the Procurement
Pipeline. With the
decision to procure made on the 19th May 2025, with the procurement
being a key decision.
The framework has been awarded for a during of four years, with
call off contracts awarded for a maximum of 6-years.
