Purpose

To seek approval for submission of the
consultation response to the Retrofit Strategy, led by the York and
North Yorkshire Combined Authority.

Decision

Following approval of the draft Retrofit
Strategy consultation response, detailed in Appendix B of the
report, submission of the report to the York and North Yorkshire
Combined Authority (YNYCA) is delegated to the Assistant Director
– Environment and Transport.

Reasons for the decision

To ensure North Yorkshire Council's feedback
is considered for the final version of the Retrofit Strategy.

Alternative options considered

The alternative option would be not to submit
a consultation response to the YNYCA. Participation in the
consultation provides an opportunity to ensure that North Yorkshire
Council can contribute to shaping future devolution of retrofit
delivery which provides opportunities to make houses warmer and
more energy efficient, which is in support of NYC Council
Priorities.
