Decision

The Authority has awarded a contract to
Integrated Skills Limited following an open bid procurement
process.

The new contract commenced on the 12th of January 2026 for a period
of 12 months.

The contract value is £99,394.00 (exc VAT).

Reasons for the decision

The harmonisation of all collection services
across the County, alongside the role of Yorwaste in the collection
of commercial waste, is a task far bigger than our resource
optimisation team can manage, within the timeframe agreed. The role
of the consultant will be to work with our team, to deliver
national best practice approaches, with the integration of
significant amounts of local knowledge, delivering rounds that are
efficient and effective, as well as allowing us to critically
review the structure of the Yorwaste agreement with the
council.

Other routes to market were considered and
rejected.
