Decision

To make an Order under section 91(1) of the
Local Government Act 1972 temporarily appointing Councillors
Caroline Goodrick, Janet Sanderson and Nigel Knapton, to
Whitwell-on-the-Hill with Crambe Parish Council, to take effect
upon the sealing of the Order.

This decision is taken under the delegated powers of the Assistant
Chief Executive Legal and Democratic Services and Monitoring
Officer.

Reasons for the decision

To allow the Parish Council to maintain
quoracy in order to conduct business and co-opt additional
members.

Alternative options considered

Notices of Vacancy were advertised in the
Parish as per the relevant procedure but no election was called
for.

The only other alternative is not to make the temporary
appointments however this would leave the Parish Council unable to
conduct its business, which is not in the general public
interest.
