Approval for the submission of a funding
application to the YNYCA’s Local Authority High Streets Fund
for £200,000 to support delivery of the Harrogate H2O: Past,
Present, Future in Flow project

Reasons for the decision

To enable North Yorkshire Council to seek
external capital funding to support a priority regeneration project
identified through the Town Investment Plan programme.

Alternative options considered

The option of not applying for external
funding was discounted as this would involve result in no
improvements for Harrogate and a lost opportunity to achieve a
positive change
