Decision

Approvals were confirmed for:
i.a 3.4% increase in appropriate fees and charges as outlined in Appendix A of the report
ii.introduction of a new charge for Streetworks Register searches
iii.increase in charges for Section 50 and Section 171 Licences and the processing of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders.

Reasons for the decision

To ensure that the fees and charges charged for relevant Council services are reflective of the Council’s costs of provision.

Alternative options considered

The Corporate Fees and Charges Strategy requires full cost recovery, which for 2026/27, has been set at a minimum 3.4% uplift. Where a different approach is proposed, it is set out separately in this report and its Appendix A.
