Decision

Acceptance of funding to the amount of
£327k of the Environment Agency Grant in Aid to enable scheme
development during 2025/26, subject to appropriate terms and
conditions being received.

Not open to call-in as earlier decision implemented.

Reasons for the decision

Property Flood Resilience is offered to all
eligible residents who meet the criteria, the identified properties
have either flooded or been identified as high risk of flooding
within the Environment Agency guidelines and the scheme will
improve living conditions for those flooding has affected. The
implementation of PFR (Property Flood Resilience) will offer peace
of mind to residents that in adverse weather conditions their
properties and themselves are better protected. The additional
funding request will enable the project to continue reducing the
need to use the FRM base budget to underwrite the project at the
detriment of future projects.

It is therefore considered appropriate to continue with the scheme
as intended, with regular relevant liaison through the engagement
channels established as part of the scheme.

Alternative options considered

The merits of each proposal within the
consultation have been assessed, providing a balanced view of the
benefits and risks of each approach.
